WHERE DO THE PLASTIC BOTTLES GO?

I went with my mom. Yesterday, to the store
We ran out of water and we needed some more
I looked down the aisle and as far as I could see
Mountains of plastic was staring back at me

Seeing all this plastic made me stop and think
Why can’t we drink the water from the sink?
I started to worry so I turned to ask my mom
What happens to the plastic when the water is gone?

Where do the plastic bottles go?
And the bags that we get at the store?
They don’t go away
They don’t disappear
So why do we get more and more?

They end up in our rivers and in our land fills
They never decompose, they become giant hills
They’ll be floating in the ocean for the rest of our lives
We’ve got to stop it now so we all will survive

One thing to do is to use them again
Recycle them, or get your own tin.
Glass is made of sand papers made from trees
But plastic’s made of chemicals don’t forget that please.

Where do the plastic bottles go?
And the bags that we get at the store?
They don’t go away
They don’t disappear
So why do we get more and more?
