PLANT A CACTUS

I’m just a kid, but I can help.
Nurse the earth right back to health
There’s lots of things that I can do
And I’ll share this one with you.

A drought’s when there’s no water to spare
There’s no rain and it’s brown everywhere
I’m saving water best as I can
And I’ve come up with this plan.

I’m gonna plant a cactus
I’m gonna plant a cactus
I’m gonna plant a cactus
You can plant one, too.

A cactus is even good to eat
It grows fruit that’s nice and sweet
It’s flowers that bloom sometimes
Just be careful of the pokey spines.

I can make a great garden grow
Don’t hafta rake and don’t hafta mow.
I feel good doin what I oughta
To save our precious water.

I’m gonna plant a cactus
I’m gonna plant a cactus
I’m gonna plant a cactus
You can plant one, too.
